Founded in 1995, the APEC Study Center at Nankai University (ASCNK), Tianjin, China, conducts and coordinates APEC-related studies in China, provides timely consulting services for the government, create close cooperation in the policymaking, business and academic communities, and carries out academic exchanges with APEC study institutions of other APEC members. Its activities include undertaking research projects, offering master’s and doctoral programs in International Integration Theory & Policy and providing support for teaching about APEC, organizing international conferences, colloquia and policy briefings, and building up information bank on APEC and APEC-related studies. To this end, the center brings together scholars from relevant departments, institutes, and centers from around the country to foster collaborative research on APEC related issues.
