(Correspondent Xiaoning Zhang) On November 22nd, 2018, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade held the Overseas Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone forum at Nan Ning. Prof. Shunqi Ge hosted the forum.
The guest speakers were: Minqiang Liu, the counselor of the Department of Outward Investment and Economic Cooperation of the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China, Yixiang Zhang, the executive manager of China-Africa TEDA LLC, Jieyuan Zhang, the vice general manager of China-Tajikistan Industries Zones, Zhe Song, the general manager of foreign direct investment department of the China-Belarus Industrial Park, Yue Zhao, the vice manager of China-Malaysia Qinzhou Industrial Park, Zhiming Fan, the manager of the China-Indonesia Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone, Siqing Lai, the vice general manager of the China-Africa Laiji investment LLC. Over 150 guests attended the forum.
As of September 2018, there were 113 projects in China's overseas economic and trade cooperation zones, covering 46 countries. The zones' accumulated investment reached 36.6 billion US dollars, the total output value exceeded 100 billion US dollars, the taxes paid to the host country exceeded 3 billion US dollars, and nearly 300,000 jobs were created.
