The Center for Transnationals’ Studies held the 2017 China Overseas Cooperation Zone Summit Forum on March 25

In 2017, the first China Overseas Cooperation Zone Summit (CODAS) will take the "One Belt One Road Initiative and the Development of China's Overseas Cooperation Zones" as its central topic, focusing on new opportunities and new tasks for overseas cooperation zones under the new situation of the "One Belt One Road Initiative". The summit will conduct in-depth discussion on the state and sustainable development, profit model of the park, investment, talent territorial management, risk control and other special topics.


The "One Belt One Road" initiative aims to proactively develop economic partnerships with countries along the route, and jointly build a community of interests, a community of shared destiny, and a community of responsibility for political mutual trust, economic integration, and cultural tolerance. With the implementation of China's "One Belt One Road" strategy, Chinese companies have entered a new era of "going out". China has built 118 economic and trade cooperation zones in 50 countries around the world. These overseas economic and trade cooperation zones become important undertake points of " One Belt One Road" construction.


This forum was co-sponsored by the National Development and Reform Commission International Cooperation Center and the Centre for Transnationals’ Studies of Nankai University, undertaken by China-Africa TEDA Investment Co., Ltd., and supported by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, China South-South Industrial Cooperation Center and other institutions. The forum will be held at the Xingshen Building of Nankai University, Tianjin at 9 a.m. on March 25th, 2017.
