The China Humanities and Social Sciences Evaluation and Research Center recently released the "Ranking of the Most Influential Scholars in Chinese Philosophy and Social Sciences: Evaluation Based on Chinese Academic Achievements (2020 Edition)". Many teachers from the Center for Transnationals’’ Studies of Nankai University have entered the top 500 scholars in national economics first-level disciplines. Ranking of scholars, including (in order of rank): Bin Sheng, Qun Bao, Bingzhan Shi, Kunwang Li, Qilin Mao, Jiadong Tong, Zhaoling Hu, Tong Zhu, Guoming Xian, Ronglin Li, and Dongwei Wen. In addition, many teachers have entered the top 100-150 rankings of second-level disciplines.
This evaluation is based on the evaluation of the influence of research results in their academic fields and peers, breaking through the simple counting method, and comprehensively measures the contribution of scholars to their academic fields. The data is mainly derived from the China Citation Database (CNKI), and Chaoxing Discovery, etc. The discipline classification of the China Citation Database is used as the basis for the classification of the second-level discipline rankings, and the 81 second-level disciplines in the field of philosophy and social sciences are divided into 20 first-level disciplines. The ranking data sets a total of five first-level indicators, namely, the number of articles published by important journals, the degree of attention, the comprehensive index of publication and citation, the status of important awards, and the number of book citations to comprehensively measure the contribution of scholars’ academic achievements to their academic fields. Nine secondary indicators are set down, and after the data of each indicator is standardized, the score of each scholar is calculated by combining the corresponding weights, and finally the academic influence ranking of scholars is formed.
