On November 15, 2020, set up by the Beijing Contemporary Economics Foundation, "Contemporary Economics Doctoral Innovation Project" 2020 Fund list was announced. The doctoral dissertation "Dynamic Adjustment of Foreign Investment Policies, Intermediate Goods Market and Export Performance " written by Dr. Xinyu Hou, a lecturer at Center for Transnationals’ Studies ( Supervisor: Professor Puyang Sun) won the award.

Based on the fact that our manufacturing and service industries are open to foreign investment, Dr. Hou conducted in-depth analysis of the dynamic openness adjustment process of manufacturing and service industries. Combined with theoretical and empirical analysis, from the perspective of export performance, Dr. Hou also carefully and systematically studied the actual impact of China's open policy.

The "Contemporary Economics Doctoral Innovation Project" was established by the Contemporary Economics Foundation to motivate and fund outstanding doctoral graduates in economics from Chinese universities who are interested in making innovative contributions in the field of economics, and help them to concentrate on research in the academic frontier field. The project is selected once a year, and 10 young scholars are funded each time.
